§ 4-68. Appraisal of signs.

  • After receiving notice of the intention of the owner to remove or correct the legal nonconforming business advertising sign, the director of finance shall cause an appraisal to be made of the legal nonconforming business advertising sign to be removed. The director of finance shall have the business advertising sign appraised, based upon the remaining usable life of the business advertising sign. If the legal nonconforming business advertising sign is to be made conforming, the director of finance shall have the business advertising sign appraised, based upon the difference in value of the business advertising sign as a legal nonconforming business advertising sign and as a conforming business advertising sign. After the appraisal has been made, the director of finance shall notify the owner of the appraisal.
