§ 4-67. Removal or correction required.

All legal nonconforming business advertising signs shall be removed within five years of the effective date of the ordinance creating the district under this article, or, at the election of the owner, be made to conform to the provisions of this chapter, the building code and the zoning ordinance within the same time. Removal or correction of the legal nonconforming business advertising signs shall otherwise be at the option of the owners. The owner of any legal nonconforming business advertising sign shall notify the director of finance immediately prior to the removal or correction of the legal nonconforming business advertising sign.
