§ 2-1106. Resignation.

  • Any city employee who is in good standing may resign from the service by presenting his resignation in writing to the department head within a reasonable time prior to the effective date. Such resignation shall be promptly forwarded to the director of human resources by the department head. The director of human resources may make such investigation as he deems warranted for the purpose of verifying reasons for each resignation. Such resignation may be withdrawn by the employee at any time prior to the effective date with the approval of the director of human resources and the department head.
