§ 2-1073. Qualifications for positions.
(a)
All employees appointed to positions as classified and set out in the Position Classification Plan, as amended, and filed as Document No. 29744 with such amendments thereto in the office of the director of records, must meet the minimum requirements set out for such positions.
(b)
For the requirements of this section, any person who possesses a certificate of high school equivalence issued by a department of education, or comparable body, of any state in the union, shall be deemed a high school graduate.
(c)
On promotional examinations employees who have earned permanent status may substitute additional required experience in lieu of the prescribed educational requirements as set out in the minimum qualifications for positions of employment as defined in the position classification plan. The term "additional required experience," as used in this section, means experience acquired on the job which is in addition to that which is regularly required for the position involved.
