§ 1-13. Territorial application of ordinances.

  • (a)

    The provisions, regulations and requirements of the Code of Ordinances, City of Kansas City, Missouri, and all amendments thereto, and all ordinances hereafter enacted, shall have effect and be in force and shall extend and apply to all persons, objects, things and subjects within the corporate limits of the city, as the corporate limits now are or may hereafter be established, and in addition thereto within all public grounds and other public property owned or operated by the city, outside the corporate limits thereof, whether such property is so owned or operated on the date of passage of this Code or may hereafter be so owned or operated; provided that the terms and provisions of this Code concerning sanitary laws and nuisances shall, in addition to such corporate limits, have effect and be in force and shall extend to all persons, objects, things and subjects within the limits specified in this Code, respectively, and in addition thereto within the territorial limits of public grounds and other public property owned or operated by the city outside the corporate limits.

    (b)

    Any acts of commission or omission, which if done or performed within the territorial limits of the city would constitute violations of any section of the Code of Ordinances, City of Kansas City, Missouri, and any amendments thereto, and all ordinances hereafter enacted, are hereby declared to be violations of such ordinances when done or performed within the territorial limits of property owned or operated by the city, outside the corporate limits thereof, and the police officers and the municipal courts of the city are hereby authorized and directed to enforce the Code and all amendments thereto, and all ordinances hereafter enacted, with respect to public grounds and other public property within the territorial limits of property owned or operated by the city, with the same effect as though such acts were done or performed within the corporate limits of the city.
