§ 26-100. Adoption of the International Fire Code, 2012 Edition and the NFPA 101 Life Safety Code 2012 Editions.

There is hereby adopted by the city for the purpose of regulating structures, processes
and premises and prescribing safeguards from hazards of fire and explosion, certain
codes and standards known as the National Fire Protection Association 101 Life Safety Code 2012 edition and the International Fire Code, 2012 edition, to include
Appendix B through F of the International Fire Code 2012 thereof and the whole thereof,
save and except such portions as are hereinafter deleted, modified amended or added
to by sections 26-100 through 26-5608.16.2 of this chapter. Copies of the International Fire Code 2012
and the 2012 edition of the National Fire Protection Association 101 Life Safety Code have been and are now filed in the office of the city clerk, and
the same are hereby adopted and incorporated as fully as if set out at length herein,
and from the date on which this chapter shall take effect, the provision thereof shall
be controlling within the limits of the City. The term "International Building Standards"
