§ 24-62. Examination of applicant regarding driving knowledge and skills.

  • Each applicant for a driving instructor's license shall be examined by the police department concerning his knowledge of motor vehicles and their operation and use on the streets, general safety principles and practices, and state and city motor vehicle laws and ordinances. The police department may, for the purpose of determining the applicant's skill and ability in driving, require such applicant to drive through such parts of the city as may be designated, while accompanied by a member of the police department.
