§ 24-61. Required; application.

  • No person shall, for compensation, instruct others in driving or operating motor vehicles, without first obtaining a license therefor from the commissioner of revenue. Applications for licenses shall be made in duplicate to the commissioner of revenue on forms provided by him, setting forth the applicant's name, age, place of residence, physical characteristics, nationality, citizenship, marital status, whether he has ever been convicted of violation of federal or state law or city ordinances, whether he has previously been licensed as an instructor, and whether any driver's license issued to him has ever been revoked or suspended and, if so, the cause therefor. One copy of such application shall be kept on file in the police department.
