§ 76-233. Condition of vehicles.

  • Every livery and sightseeing vehicle shall always be kept in good mechanical and running condition and, if motorized, shall comply with the requirements set forth in section 76-213. If a vehicle is not found to be in good mechanical and running condition by the director or his agents, the vehicle permit for its operation shall be suspended until the defects are corrected. Once the defects have been corrected, the vehicle will be inspected by the director or his agents and the inspection fee shall be $22.00. If the defects are not corrected after reasonable notice and opportunity, the vehicle permit shall be subject to revocation by the director. No vehicle permit shall be renewed for a livery or sightseeing vehicle that is not in good mechanical and running condition.
