§ 70-568. Use of bus stands, streetcar stations, taxicab stands and horse-drawn carriage stands.

  • (a)

    No person shall stop a vehicle other than a bus in a bus stand, or other than a streetcar in a streetcar station, or other than a taxicab in a taxicab stand, or other than a horse-drawn carriage in a stand for horse-drawn carriages used in sightseeing operations, when any such zone or stand has been officially designated and appropriately signed, except that the driver of a passenger vehicle may temporarily stop therein for the purpose of and while actually engaged in loading or unloading passengers when such stopping does not interfere with any bus, streetcar, horse-drawn carriage or taxicab waiting to enter or about to enter such zone.

    (b)

    Any person violating any provision of this section shall be punished by a fine of not less than $25.00 and not more than $500.00.
