§ 70-541. Authorized emergency vehicle parking.

(a)

The director is hereby authorized to designate and establish parking spaces for the exclusive use of authorized emergency vehicles and shall place and maintain appropriate markings or signs indicating the reservation.

(b)

The director shall determine which parking spaces shall be reserved for the exclusive use of authorized emergency vehicles and shall mark or sign such streets in a manner sufficient to identify the location of the reserved parking spaces.

(c)

No person shall park, or cause to be parked, any vehicle, except an authorized emergency vehicle, within any parking space reserved for the exclusive use of authorized emergency vehicles.

(d)

"Authorized emergency vehicle" shall be defined as provided in section 70-1, Code of Ordinances, provided further that such vehicle shall be prominently designated as such by emblems, markings or license plate.

(e)

Any person violating any provision of this section shall be punished by a fine of not less than $25.00 and not more than $500.00.
