§ 70-101. Penalties for violation of chapter.

  • (a)

    Minor. If a violation is classified as a "minor traffic violation" under RSMo § 479.350, the penalty shall not exceed limits imposed under RSMo § 479.353.

    (b)

    Non-minor. For all other ordinance violations in any section of this chapter[, when] the doing of any act is required or is prohibited or is declared to be unlawful or an ordinance violation, and no specific fine or penalty is provided for a violation thereof, any person who shall be convicted of a violation of any such section of this chapter shall, for each offense, be fined not less than $1.00 and not more than $500.00, or be punished by imprisonment, for a period of not less than one day and not more than six months, or be punished by both such fine and imprisonment.
