§ 6-35. Radio equipment.

Latest version.
  • All aircraft based at the city airports must have and maintain in good operating condition a radio receiver capable of receiving voice signals of the city control towers on the frequency now in use or any other frequency hereafter established for such aircraft; provided, however, that nothing in this section shall be construed to mean that itinerant aircraft not based on such airport and not having a radio receiver may not land or depart from a city airport; and provided, further, that any aircraft brought to a city airport for basing may, under exceptional circumstances, be allowed to operate without a radio for a period of 30 days if written permission is granted by the director of aviation. Any aircraft based on such airport not equipped with a radio receiver as required within the period specified may be denied permission to operate from a city airport by the director of aviation.
