§ 68-557. Penalty for failure to obtain permit.

Any person engaged in business subject to the convention and tourism tax without a valid permit shall be assessed a penalty in the amount of up to $500.00 for the first day, and $100.00 thereafter, not to exceed $10,000.00, in addition to any other penalties as prescribed in this article. For the first 30 days, this penalty shall not apply to persons opening a business in the city for the first time.
