§ 60-7. Measurement of water use when water not supplied by city.

  • If an occupant of property discharging sewage, industrial waste, water or other liquids into the city sewerage system is not a user of water supplied by the water services department of the city, then such occupant, at his own expense, shall install a meter or other measuring device acceptable to the director of the water services department for the purpose of measuring water used on the property. Access to such meter or other measuring device as may be installed shall be given to the water department employees for the purpose of reading, inspecting, testing or repair of such meter or other measuring device at any reasonable time. Should the occupant fail to install such meter or measuring device, then the director of the water services department shall determine an appropriate volume of water used and such amount shall be the basis for any sanitary sewer volume, service or other charges.
