§ 56-501. Failure to produce receipts; registration statement as evidence.

  • (a)

    The failure of an owner or a lessee of an entire building or structure to produce the receipt issued by the director acknowledging the filing of a registration statement, or the failure of a registered agent to produce the receipt issued by the director acknowledging the filing of a notice of termination, shall be prima facie evidence of failure to comply with the provisions of this article.

    (b)

    The current registration statement shall be deemed prima facie proof of the statements contained therein in any action or proceeding instituted by the city against the owner, the lessee of an entire building or structure, or a registered agent.
