§ 56-385. Penalty for violation of article.

  • (a)

    Any person convicted by a court of a violation of this article shall be punished for that violation by a fine of not less than $85.00, but not more than $1,000.00, or by imprisonment of not more than 180 days, or by both such fine and imprisonment.

    (b)

    Every day that a violation continues shall be considered a separate offense, for which the violator may be arrested, tried and convicted without necessity of further notice.

    (c)

    The administrative citation fines as described in section 56-36 may also be imposed for violations of this article and such fines shall be subject to the administrative fine provisions and processes as described elsewhere in article II.
