§ 56-384. Violations.

  • (a)

    It shall be unlawful for any person to:

    (1)

    Use, occupy, operate, maintain, own, rent or let to another for occupancy any premises which fail to comply with the requirements of sections 56-411 to 56-465, inclusive, or to cause or permit such use, occupancy, operations, maintenance, rental or lease.

    (2)

    Permit a building which has been temporarily closed to remain vacant and unrepaired for more than 180 days after the date of issuance of the closing permit.

    (3)

    Fail, neglect or refuse to obey any subpoena or final order of the property maintenance appeals board.

    (b)

    Every day that a violation continues shall be considered a separate offense, for which the violator may be arrested, tried and convicted without necessity for further notice.
