§ 56-346. Property maintenance appeals board established; membership.

  • (a)

    There is hereby established a property maintenance appeals board, appointed by the mayor for a term of four years, consisting of seven members who are not employees of the city. The mayor may remove members for just cause upon written notice. Each member shall have been a resident of the city for at least one year prior to appointment.

    (b)

    The following representation should be considered in making appointments to the board: the medical profession, the legal profession, the real estate profession, the engineering profession, the architectural profession, landlord associations, tenant associations, and the community at large.

    (c)

    The director or his designated subordinate representative shall act as secretary of the board.

    (d)

    A representative of the city counselor's office shall attend all meetings held by the board.
