§ 50-170. Assault on persons on or en route to or from school premises; disturbing school activities.

  • (a)

    No person shall intentionally and unlawfully assault, threaten, menace, lay hands on or use profane or indecent language toward, a student or any other person in any school building or school grounds, or while such student or person shall be on his way to or from any school, school grounds or school-sponsored activity, nor intentionally disrupt, disturb or interfere with the teaching of any class of students, or any other school-sponsored activity conducted in a school building, or school grounds or in any other public place.

    (b)

    Any person found guilty of violation of this section shall be punished by imprisonment of not less than 30 days nor more than six months or by fine of not less than $50.00 nor more than $500.00, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
