§ 50-46. Making false affidavit.

  • Every person who shall willfully, corruptly and falsely, before any officer authorized to administer oaths, under oath or affirmation, voluntarily make any false certificate, affidavit or statement of any nature, for any purpose, shall be deemed guilty of an ordinance violation, and shall upon conviction be punished by a fine of not less than $1.00 and not more than $500.00, or be punished by imprisonment in the municipal correctional institution for a period not to exceed six months, or be punished by both fine and imprisonment.
