§ 4-65. Method of compensation.

  • The council shall determine whether there are sufficient funds from public or private sources, or a combination thereof, available to compensate owners of business advertising signs for removal of legal nonconforming business advertising signs. Compensation shall be based on the remaining useful life of the business advertising signs and in no case shall be less than 40 percent or more than 100 percent of the value of the business advertising sign. The ordinance creating the district shall specify the source of funding and the percentage of compensation.
