§ 46-26. Exceptions to the noise code.

  • The provisions of the noise code shall not apply to:

    (1)

    The emission of sound for the purpose of alerting persons to the existence of an emergency;

    (2)

    The emission of sound in the performance of emergency work;

    (3)

    Construction work, as defined in 46-3;

    (4)

    The unamplified human voice;

    (5)

    Interstate railway locomotives and cars;

    (6)

    Activities for which the director has issued either a special variance or special permit pursuant to the noise code; or

    (7)

    Noise disturbances that are the result of any act of God, war, labor disturbance, riot, catastrophe or other cause beyond the control of such person.
