§ 40-61. Businesses and activities for which license is required.
Latest version.
Every corporation, company, association, joint stock company or association , partnership
and person, and their lessees, trustees or receivers appointed by any court whatsoever,
engaged in any business occupation, pursuit, profession or trade, or in the keeping
or maintaining of any institution, establishment, article, utility or commodity within
the City and not exempt from the payment of licenses by law or under this chapter,
shall procure and pay for a license therefor from the City, and such license tax shall
be in the respective amount set out in this article and chapter, except as otherwise
provided in this Code or other ordinances.
