It shall be unlawful for the owner or occupant of any parcel of real property to allow
grass 12 inches or more in height, rank weeds or noxious plants, as defined in this
article, to grow or stand upon such parcel of real property. It shall be the duty
of such owner or occupant to immediately cut, remove or destroy any and all weeds
and noxious plants on such parcel of real property. Failure, neglect or refusal of
an owner or occupant to so abate shall constitute a violation of this article, punishable
by a fine of not more than $500.00, or by incarceration not to exceed six months,
or by both such fine and incarceration.
