§ 34-376. Destination determination.

  • (a)

    Life-threatening emergency. For all life-threatening emergency calls, the patient shall be taken to the nearest appropriate facility for that clinical condition in accordance with approved medical protocols, unless otherwise directed by a base station physician.

    (b)

    Non-life-threatening emergency. For all non-life-threatening emergency calls, the patient shall be taken to the nearest appropriate facility considering the patients choice and availability of facilities, in accordance with approved medical protocols, unless otherwise directed by a base station physician.
