§ 32-53. Requirements for well-drilling businesses; license tax.

Any person engaged in the business or occupation of drilling wells for gas or oil who may desire to drill oil or gas wells within the city limits shall be required to secure a permit in the manner provided in this article, and any such applicant, when so applying for such permit, shall state whether such person, or corporation, or individuals, partnerships or associations, are incorporated, and such applicant shall at the time of securing such permit pay to the city treasurer the sum prescribed in chapter 40 as a license tax.
