§ 32-1. References to director, gas meter inspector or inspector.

References to the "director" in this article shall mean the director of public works, and references to the "gas meter inspector" or "inspector" shall mean the representative of the director, of whatever title actually borne, qualified and appointed in the same manner as other employees of the department of public works.
