§ 30-111. Inspection brand or identification mark required on primal parts.

  • For the purpose of guarding and protecting the health of the public by preventing the sale and use in the city of meat and meat food products which are unhealthful, unsound and otherwise unfit for human food, no person shall display, sell, offer for sale, or otherwise dispose of or have in his possession, or ship, send, or cause to be brought within the limits of the city, for the purpose of displaying, selling, offering for sale or otherwise disposing of, any meat of cattle, sheep, hogs, goats or rabbits which does not have on each primal part the meat inspection brand of the United States Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Administration, Bureau of Animal Industry, Meat Inspection Division, or of the veterinary division of the state department of agriculture.
