§ 2-1690. Motor fuel tax fund.

  • (a)

    Establishment. There is hereby established a motor fuel tax fund to which shall be credited the proceeds of the allocations made to the city by the state from the state-imposed motor fuel tax, in accordance with the provisions of section 30(a)(2), article IV, of the constitution of the state.

    (b)

    Use. Money credited to the motor fuel tax fund shall be appropriated only for:

    (1)

    Payment of principal and interest on indebtedness incurred for road and street purposes prior to April 1, 1962; and

    (2)

    Construction, reconstruction, maintenance, repair, policing, signing, lighting and cleaning roads and streets.
