§ 2-1673. Water department system.

(a)

Budgetary accounting. The budgetary accounting system of the water department shall be kept by the commissioner of accounts in the manner provided by section 2-1672.

(b)

General and cost accounting. The water general and cost accounting system shall be kept by the water department. This system shall be in accordance with the standard system of accounts recommended by the American Water Works Association and prescribed by the National Association of Railroad and Utilities Commissioners and the state public service commission.
