§ 2-1647. Approval and custody of bonds.

All bonds given to or for the benefit of the city shall first be approved as to form and legality by the city counselor and, except for the official bonds of its officers and employees, judicial bonds and bonds otherwise provided for by ordinance, shall be approved by the director of finance as to amount and qualifications of sureties, and shall be filed with and kept by him.
