Pursuant to the provisions of section 25 of the Charter, there is hereby established a department to be known as the department
of convention and entertainment facilities. The officer in charge of such department
shall be known as the director of convention and entertainment facilities, shall be
appointed by the city manager, and shall have such duties, powers and authority as
are prescribed in this division, or as may hereafter be prescribed by ordinance. Any
reference in the resolutions, ordinances or rules and regulations of this city to
the director of convention and entertainment centers shall be construed to mean the
director of convention and entertainment facilities.
