§ 2-114. Sergeant-at-arms and revision clerk.
The council may select a sergeant-at-arms and revision clerk whose duties shall be to do and perform such services as the council or the presiding officer shall direct during or in relation to council meetings and related meetings. He shall keep up-to-date administrative and council copies of the revised ordinances. He shall perform such duties as the mayor shall assign to him. He shall do all the clerical work necessary for printing of the annual ordinance supplement and shall keep a master file of Charter amendments and Code and ordinance changes to facilitate the periodic general revision of the city ordinances. In addition thereto, he shall be under the supervision and direction of the director of records and shall perform such duties and services as the director of records shall assign to him. As sergeant-at-arms, he shall also have the authority to make service of any order, notice or process ordered by the court or required by the Charter in any condemnation proceedings.
