§ 2-51. Inclusion of nonbinding questions on ballot.

  • At any election, held throughout the city, excepting the primary and regular municipal elections established by section 417 of the Charter, at which a binding question is submitted by the city to the voters for their approval or disapproval as provided by law, the council may by ordinance include on the ballot no more than two nonbinding questions to obtain the preference of the voters on those nonbinding questions; provided, however, that such ordinance shall have received the affirmative vote of nine members of the council.
