Whenever the commissioner of revenue shall have reason to believe that any licensed
driving instructor may have violated any of the provisions of this chapter, or has
knowingly furnished to the commissioner false, incomplete or misleading information
relating to his license, the commissioner shall, after ten days, make his finding
of fact in writing, and if he shall find that the license should be suspended or revoked
he shall forthwith suspend or revoke such license and shall immediately notify the
licensee in writing of such action. In the event of suspension or revocation of a
license, the license shall be surrendered to the commissioner of revenue, and a statement
of such suspension or revocation, and the reason therefor, shall be noted on the license.
Any suspension or revocation shall also be noted on the copy of the application for
a license which is on file in the police department. Suspended licenses shall be returned
to the licensees at the expiration of the period of suspension. In case of revocation
of any license, another license shall not be issued to the same person within a period
of one year following the date of revocation.
