§ 19-54. Emergency services.

Subject to applicable law, an operator shall incorporate into its system the capability to permit the city, in times of emergency, to override the audio portion of all channels simultaneously. The government channel shall be used for emergency broadcasts of both audio and video. The operator shall cooperate with the city in the use and operation of the emergency alert override system. Should the city elect to eliminate the government channel, operators and the city shall determine an alternative channel for emergency broadcasts of both audio and video.
