Each vent pipe or stack serving a plumbing system in a building in an underground
structure shall terminate vertically through the roof or horizontally through the
wall of such building to a street or yard. When terminated through a wall, the vent
terminal shall be as high above the floor as possible and shall be at least 25 feet
(7.6 m) from any door, window or ventilation intake opening in the building wall.
The open end of such vent terminal shall be covered with a protective screen.
